I have realised that I have too much free time on my Hands and as such I shall review movies. If anyone wishes to suggest a movie for me to review I will try to find it, watch it and review it. Otherwise I will review movies seemingly at random, they will be new and old movies. I shall start with a big movie at the moment, 'The Dark Knight'.
The Dark Knight
It is all too easy for a Movie which is well expected to be a disappointment as it does not live up to expectations. However, I believe The Dark Knight has managed to do just that, even surpass expectations. Although the film does have to overcome certain problems, for instance the opening scene is a well written act, however, the Movie begins to slow down almost immediately after this explosive opening, although one does not want to be led on a high-octane ride with no real plot, nor does one expect to go to watch a Batman movie for a heartwarming story. Luckily the movie is always at the right stage, blending action with drama to accentuate the contrast in character of Batman and Joker, it is also a good job that Christian Bale can hold his own as an actor, as Heath Ledger steals the Movie as Joker, leaving one eagerly anticipating the next scene with him in. As a side note, to all fans of Batman graphic novels, you may notice some references to them, such as multiple back stories for Joker, as a reference to Alan Moore's "The Killing Joke". The movie is undoubtably one of the best in years.
